Bella - Mollucan Cockatoo
In August 2017 we added Bella to the flock. Bella was owned by Colin and Claire but Colin was suffering with 'Cockatoo Problem' - the dust. Colin's Dr had been telling him the Cockatoo would have to go for some time and, in the end, due to significant respiratory problems, Colin and Claire very reluctantly agreed.
We met Colin, Claire and Bella one week-end and then decided during the following week we would take him. I say 'him' because, yes, Bella is a boy! So we went up the following week-end to collect him. He was placed in Quarantine for 2 weeks and we had bloods tested and then he joined the birdroom. |
Bella is a typical Cockatoo - a love sponge - who just loves being cuddled! He was harness trained when he came to us and used to going out meeting people. He is a clear talker and says, Hello, Hello Bella, Good bye, Bye and what y' doing.
Bella fitted in well with the flock and enjoys days out.
